The idea of Rhizome within the Realm of Convergence emphasizes the interconnectedness of all entities, including both human and non-human elements, in our ever-changing world, promoting a more holistic approach towards knowledge. By recognizing the intricate and dynamic relationship between ecology and culture, Meghna creates an immersive experience through this scroll, illuminating the interconnectedness of mythological elements and the narrative of transverse orientation, all while exploring the convergence of the past, present, and future.

This work explores the rich symbolism of Persian mythology, taking readers on a journey to discover the Simorg – a mysterious healing bird that acts as a mediator between the earth and sky. Through its journey towards the Hom tree, the Simorg scatters seeds across the ocean, giving rise to lush islands brimming with life. The intricate lower horizontal portion of the scroll depicts Bahamaut, the legendary whale/fish that supports the Earth on its back, has a magnificent heart that’s the largest among all creatures in the animal kingdom. As the painting ascends towards the sky with mountains and paths, all living beings grow towards the light. The oceans are surrounded by glaciers and ferries within which are moraines that hold memories of ancient patterns from volcanic eruptions, tree bark, fossils, and numerous other magical creatures of a bygone era that we seek through glass-magnified spheres, symbolic of memories trapped within. With this work, Meghna finds herself reconnected to the intricacies of Rhizome and the sciences of mythology as belief systems that reflect the idea of repairing through interconnectivity.

‘रेल्म ऑफ कन्वरजन्स’ में राइज़ोम की विचारधारा सभी पदार्थों के मध्य आन्तरिक संयोजनात्मकता पर जोर देती है, जिसमें मानव और गैर-मानव दोनों महत्वपूर्ण हैं। इस विचारधारा के अंतर्गत राइज़ोम का अभिप्राय यह भी है कि हमारी हर-पल बदलती दुनिया में ज्ञान के प्रति एक पूर्णतावादी दृष्टिकोण को बढ़ावा मिल सके। पारिस्थितिकी और संस्कृति के बीच जटिल और गतिशील सम्बन्धों की पहचान करते हुए, मेघना इस स्क्रॉल द्वारा अतीत, वर्तमान और भविष्य के अभिसरण की खोज करते हुए, पौराणिक तत्त्वों की परस्पर संबद्धता और अनुप्रस्थ अभिविन्यास की कथा पर रोशनी डालती हैं।

यह कार्य फारसी पौराणिक कथाओं के समृद्ध प्रतीकवाद की गहराई से पड़ताल करता है और पाठकों को सिमोर्ग की खोज के लिए भ्रमण पर ले जाता है जोकि एक रहस्यमय चिकित्सा पक्षी है और पृथ्वी और आकाश के बीच मध्यस्थता करता है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि होम वृक्ष की ओर अपनी यात्रा के दौरान सिमोर्ग समुद्र पर बीज बिखेरता गया जिसके कारण हरे भरे द्वीप जीवन से परिपूर्ण हो गये। हम देखते हैं कि स्क्रॉल का जटिल निचला संभाग बहामौत को दर्शाता है, मान्यताओं के अनुसार यह एक पौराणिक अद्भुत व्हेल या विशाल मछली है जो अपनी पीठ पर पृथ्वी का समर्थन करती है जिसका हृदय सभी प्राणियों में विशालकाय होता है। पेंटिग जैसे-जैसे पहाड़ों और रास्तों के साथ आकाश की ओर बढ़ती है, वैसे-वैसे सभी जीवित प्राणी प्रकाश की ओर बढ़ने लगते हैं। महासागर हिमनदों (ग्लेशियरों) और घाटों से घिरे हुए हैं जिनके भीतर हिमोढ़ हैं जो ज्वालामुखी विस्फोट, पेड़ की छाल, जीवाश्म, और एक बीते युग के कई अन्य जादुई जीवों से प्राचीन प्रतिमानों की स्मृतितों को थामे हुए हैं जिन्हें हम कांच-आवर्धित क्षेत्रों के माध्यम से खोजते हैं, वे दरअसल अपनी ही स्मृतियों के भीतर फंसी हुई हैं। इस कार्य के साथ, मेघना स्वयं को राइज़ोम की पेचीदगियों और पौराणिक कथाओं के विज्ञान के साथ विश्वास प्रणालियों के रूप में फिर से जुड़ा हुआ पाती हैं जो पारस्परिकता के माध्यम से मरम्मत की विचारधारा को प्रतिबिम्बित करती हैं।
