Identity is subjective. It is neither urban nor remote yet it could be both. It creates discourse. And it is a psychological moment with a material impact. Expansion Exposition is an assembly of staple pins that represent the rising skyscrapers in the urban, changing the ecological identity of the land. Could we consider the cityscape as an alternative ecology? Or it could be a promising replacement for the ever increasing human desire to consume novelties.

The rhizomatic distribution, in this case vertical, shoots into the roots of dystopia yet a promising gesture of technological advancement. Iranna’s experience of pervasive change in the topography of urban land, globally, triggered the use of a staple pin that binds into a temporary bond. These identities, part of whole and whole being a part, unveil the unseen distorted sense of mati or reason. In such a case how does it frame itself into an eco-cultural identity? Abiding by a strong adhesive, do these synthetic structures posit or represent themselves as repetitive questions towards the socio-economic hierarchy?

पहचान की परिभाषा व्यक्तिपरक होती है। यह न तो शहरी है और न ही दूरस्थ, फिर भी यह दोनों हो सकती है। पहचान एक गम्भीर चर्चा निर्मित करती है। और देखा जाए तो यह भौतिक प्रभाव के साथ एक मनोवैज्ञानिक क्षण है। ‘एक्स्पांशन एक्स्पोझिशन’ स्टेपल पिन्स का एक समूह है जो शहरी क्षेत्र में उभरती और स्थापित होती गगनचुंबी इमारतों का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है, जो भूमि की पारिस्थितिकी पहचान को बदल रहा है। क्या हम सिटीस्केप का एक वैकल्पिक पर्यावरन के रूप में विचार कर सकते हैं? या यह मानव की नवीनताओं का उपभोग करने की बढ़ती इच्छा के लिए एक आशावादी विकल्प हो सकता है?

इस विषय में, ऊर्ध्वाधर प्रकंद वितरण, बंजर भूमि की जड़ों में फूटता है, लेकिन फिर भी यह तकनीकी उन्नयन की वादास्तविकता का संकेत होता है। विश्व स्तर पर शहरी भूमि की स्थलाकृति में घटित होने वाले व्यापक परिवर्तन के अनुभव से, इराना अपनी कलाकृतियों में स्टेपल पिन्स के उपयोग के लिए उत्प्रेरित हुईं जो एक अस्थायी बंधन में बांधता है। ये पहचानें, पूर्ण का हिस्सा और पूरे का एक हिस्सा, कारण की अनदेखी विकृत भावना का अनावरण करती हैं। इस तरह, यह स्वयं को एक पारिस्थितिकी-सांस्कृतिक पहचान में कैसे ढालता है? एक मजबूत आसंजक से पालित होते हुए, क्या ये संश्लेषित संरचनाएँ सामाजिक-आर्थिक पदानुक्रम की ओर दोहराए जाने वाले प्रश्नों के रूप में ख़ुद को प्रस्तुत करती हैं?
