Tribute to Manhole Workers – Raga Hindol is an illustrative and conceptual blend of the past with the future and discusses the present concern of manhole workers. In Ragmala’s miniature painting, the raga Hindol is depicted as a human form who leisurely enjoys the bloom of spring on a swing with female attendants. Also, in classical music, the melody of raga Hindol resonates with the rhythm of a swing.

However, in this painting, the artists have referred to the polluted melody of adverse social conditions, ushering into a serious state of ecological crisis. The scrap-burdened swing, urbane horizon marked by emitting fumes from mill chimneys, and obstructed flight of birds placed on the painterly backdrop of the tradition are a part of this telling visual narrative.

Embroidered on a large panel, the representation concerts about sewage workers who are social victims of excessive consumerism and insensitive utility by humans. Although many identities, human or more-than-human, each one is embroidered into the other lives.

‘ट्रिब्यूट टू मॅनहोल वर्कर्स- राग हिंदोल फ्राॅम द सिरीज- रागमाला/ साँग्स ऑफ एन्थ्रोपोसीन’ अतीत का भविष्य के साथ एक रूपांतरणीय और वैचारिक मिश्रण है और वर्तमान में मैनहोल श्रमिकों के हालातों की चिंता पर चर्चा करता है। रागमाला के लघुचित्र में, राग हिंडोल का मानवीकरण किया गया है। उसे मानव रूप में दर्शाया गया है जो महिला परिचारिकाओं के साथ एक झूले पर बैठकर इत्मीनान से बसंत के खिलने का आनन्द लेता है। साथ ही, शास्त्रीय संगीत में, राग हिंडोल की धुन झूले की ताल के साथ गुंजायमान होती है।
